Caturday - Then and Now

From left to right is Tabitha, Two Spot and Only - now you can see how I got their names. (Enlarge the photo for details) They are sitting on the deck railing looking into the back porch at us. The kittens were born feral under our house and I was able to catch them and Mom to bring them inside and tame them.

Four years later you can see how the black spots on Two Spot and Only's heads faded away to nothing. People always ask what their names mean - without the spots, I guess nothing! Then, it was a way to tell who was who in a litter of white cats.

  1. We have a new one opening today in our City....it's called "The Cattery"...and I am a member. It's actually not an adoption place, it's a 'home for the unwanted'...where they keep the cats/kittens in a stable, happy environment. They're awesome places. I so love cats!!!

My Critter is a bit buggy this week. Come see. Happy Saturday.

  7. Ah, what a sweet story of three sweet babies! I know what you mean about the spots fading on pure white kitties. When I grew up, we always had one pure white cat after another, and one of them had a spot on his head when he was a kitten, but it faded as he matured.

This is kind of strange, because I've found with cats with other colouring that their markings intensify as they get older!

  11. Lovely little kittens and adorable adults. Too bad the spots didn't stay, we'd guess it'd harder to tell them apart now!

    Purrs and hugs,
