Whitester Mancat Monday
Sam here. Since so many of our white cats are mancats, we thought we would feature them on our Monday posts. Al (pictured above) is our resident deaf cat. His magnificent blue eyes and long fur give him movie star presence but he does have a lot of personality issues being deaf. He doesn't hear us coming and gets easily startled and attacks - not much fun but we don't seem to have figured out how not to sneak up on him.
This is me, Sam - I am a shy guy and don't like it when Mom gets that flashy box out. I am the only one with a tipped ear. Mom asked the vet to do this when I got fixed to help her tell us apart and to know that I had been neutered when we were still outside. I don't mind - it gives me a rakish look.
This is Two Spot. Some white cats are born with light black or grey markings on their heads that fade with age. He had two so Mom named him Two Spot never thinking they would fade. Now every asks how he got the the name and she has to explain.....
Hope you enjoyed visiting with us - we will bring the other whitesters out next Monday!
Beautiful babies! It must be a challenge telling all of the whitesters apart! We had a huge blue eyed white cat when I was growing up (his name was Sam!). He wasn't deaf, but he was gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful The white cat has always been my favorite. There's just something special about them. Looking forward to seeing more. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5
ReplyDeleteMy Daughter has a blued eyed white Mancat. He is not deaf and definitely is the alpha at their house. I spent a week at her house, watching the Grand kiddo's, while Erin was out of town. The beautiful cat and I bonded. He is so much larger than my cats and when he snuggled in bed, you knew he was there!
ReplyDeleteSam, As long as you are happy, Nothing else is matter !
ReplyDeleteYou can count me to be friend : )

Wow, y'all sure are mighty fine looking!
ReplyDeleteOh you white boys are so handsome!!
ReplyDeleteAl, you are so gorgeous! I remember the comments from your roommate on my advice post last month about deaf cats. That was so very helpful - there were some great suggestions on how to communicate without words!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad had a cat that was all white with a black area on her head. Her nick name was Smudge. As she grew, it went away too. She could hear though.
ReplyDeleteAll of you white man cats are just sooo handsome. Nose kisses for all of you!
ReplyDeleteYour cats are beautiful~Our blue eyed, white cat is deaf. Our white cat with gold eyes is not!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Oh, you are gorgeous fur babies, and you would look so good next to ME! And your eyes are wonderous. Yes, beauty is abounding in your house :D
ReplyDeleteMom giggled at the Two Spot name. We had a neighbor that had 3 cats that were identical except for the spots. SO, same as you, one was One Spot, then Two Spot, and then Three Spot!
See you soon :D
xoxoxo
So Two Spot had a Kitten Cap! The Baby did too. Daddy maintains that Whitesters are the naughtiest Cats of all. We like to prove him right all the time.

They are so beautiful. I just posted today about Marshmellow's black spot on his head that went away as he got older. I didn't know that happened a lot to white cats. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteSam has beautiful eyes. Except for the eyes, he could be Marshmellow's twin.
They are so sweet; love Two Spot's name! Thanks for purring for Au. he's eating a little then not eating. TENSE situation.
ReplyDeleteWhitesters are special and beautiful. Purrs.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww how adorable! Hello Al - you have the most beautiful blue eyes!! Wow!
ReplyDeleteSam you are rakish and very handsome!!!
Awww lovel Two Spot!!! I love how you got your name!! You are so pretty!!
Have a great day - all of you! Take care
x
We think you're all gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if your mom stamps her foot as she approaches Al? Can he pick up the vibration?
Oh, you babies are gloriously beautiful and just sublime looking. Mom said she would want to gather you up and snuggle all day long.
ReplyDeleteI bet it is hard to tell the white ones apart. We have two black ones and Mom has to look really close to tell which is which. Sam, you are such a handsome boy.You too Two Spot without the two spots. You whiteys must have to do extra cleaning since you are white and all the dirt shows. Take care and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThe are such beautiful cats - so very handsome what a shame they can't hear the ladycats going all silly about them!!
ReplyDeleteIn other news - we are now in possession of a blog back up system - just hope we never need to use it!!
It's always a pleasure to visit with your white boys. As I might have said before, I grew up always having a white cat. There's something about the pinkness of their nose and ears against the white that makes them look so innocent. Of course, we know -- especially with Al -- that looks can be deceiving.
ReplyDeleteWe love to see your whitesters, they are all so beautiful :-) Our Casper is deaf also but surprisingly relaxed and contented!
ReplyDeleteWhat handsome mancats!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love y'all bunches.
Lovely white cats....I certainly could not tell them apart!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful blue eyes....
What lovely white babies! LOL @ Two Spots name though. Reminds me of Two Socks from Dances With Wolves.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous white man cats! My Mommy had a before cat that was a white man cat and she says he was the bestest (next to me of course!
ReplyDeleteNellie
I started to say I have a soft spot for the white ones. But on other days, looking at other pictures, I would just say I had a soft spot for those, too. They are gorgeous. As are all felines in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute!
ReplyDeletepurrs

We think yoo are all handsome mancats! In Australia (where our beans come from) neutered cats are given a tattoo inside their ear.
ReplyDeleteSam you do have movie star looks and you are such captivating blue eyes. We are sorry that you swat when startled. All the babies are gorgeous!
ReplyDeletepurrin
xoxox
Beautiful pictures! Al, we just get lost in your eyes!
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
Hi, gorgeous boys=we love your great photos!...Happy week ahead, sweet friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeletethese are some stunning kitties! So appropriate to see white cats when we are supposed to have almost 20 inches of snow tomorrow!
ReplyDeletegorgeous babies !!!!!
ReplyDeletei wonder if flashing a laser on the floor before you walk up and directing the laser to your feet first so he sees you coming would help his ease when one approaches?
