Two Takers fur Tabby Tuesday

Mom here today to tell you about our two tabbies Tabitha and Woody.  Both of them loved to be licked and loved by other cats but they are both takers not givers.  They haven't quite figured that one out.  Here Tabitha spots Woody and is moving in for a bit of loving while Woody is thinking the same.

She tries rubbing up against Woody to warm him up.

Woody is hoping she will do the same for him and sits patiently waiting for his lovin'

This can go on for a long while  with both of them trying to get the other to groom.. Lots of head butts, rubbin', purring and don't I look cute looks but to no avail.  They just haven't figured out they gotta give in order to get.

Tabitha is really truing hard to get some while Woody is hoping by sitting real quiet Tabitha will lavish some  on him!.

Finally she gives up and yawns.  Time for a nap. Poor Woody looks sooo disappointed.  Who are the givers and takers in your house?

  2. Rupert and Sweet Pea are the big givers, and CC does both! The rest either take, self groom, or solicit the Humans for some lovin'.

  3. First person to groom the other is Second Cat!

  4. Well, that's better than our house, where we are more likely to be giving and taking smackdowns!

  5. What an amazing saga they create! None of my brood even get that into trying to get affection from each other. It must be quite a sight to see!

For other folks (all of you kitties and doggies are certainly people!) reading this, check out my blog. I manage a homeless cat colony and a few foster cats. Get your ‘beans to check it out!
    Hey, wonderful creatures stay well!

  6. MOL! In our house we usually go to the mom for lovin', though sometimes I (Nicki) will start to groom Derry. That quickly degenerates into a wrasslin' match, though! It's not often that Derry will start to groom me.

  7. That is so darn cute!!! Well, in our home, when it comes to grooming it's pretty much self-service!

  9. Awwwww sweet Tabitha and lovely Woody!!! That last pic is just so sweet and funny! When I had my Ol Girl and her brother, Tim, Tim was so the giver - very affectionate but his sister preferred to remain aloof! It was quite sad really cos Tim just wanted to lavish affection and she just wanted to be left alone! Awwww! Take care

  10. We mostly wash ourselves but sometimes Lucy does help Hannah with the floof - but not on a regular basis.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  11. So funny! My boys don't really groom each other. Occasionally Casper will give someone a few licks but that's it really.

  14. You two are just too silly. We feel sure you will work it out pretty soon. At least there wasn't any hissing or spitting. That is what we have around here.Great pictures.
Guess you made it through the storm all right. Take care.

  15. That is so cute! We're only self-groomers here, although Zoe has licked Fuzzy's head twice. Rarely are we close enough to do that anyway.

  16. Awwwww.....those are some really cute shots! It always cracks me up to see pictures of cats yawning, because it looks like they are laughing at the funniest joke ever. None of my three cats lick each other very much. Is that unusual?

  17. Aw...Are you siblings?

I had a tabby named Tabitha, too, when I was a child. The whole name was Tabitha Samantha and I called her Tabby Sam. Yours looks a lot like her. (sniff, sniff)

  20. Those are very cute pictures even if no licks were exchanged. Here, Luna is a giver, though she is an only cat.
