Garden Thursday with Tabitha

Tabitha here for Garden Duty...guess who was out there visiting the feeder?  Mr. Squirrel that's who!

::3 paw taps::

Now it is time for the tour...we got lots of new things --more roses, lilies, hydrangeas and our veggies are getting big enough to eat.

Hydrangeas

Lilies

Our potatoes.

Tomatoes

Lettuces

Kale and chives
The beans put up new screens on the kitty porch - Mr Bear made a mess of them last year with his paws - mud and holes and everything.  Luckily we have hog wire under the screens to keep him out and us in. This year we booby-trapped the side he usually comes on with all sorts of metal ladders, dollies and pipes, hoping he will leave us alone!

Bear booby-trap.
What is new in your garden?  Any veggies coming up yet?  For more garden post be sure to visit Jonsie for his Society of Feline Gardeners.

  15. That is really scary about the bear. Hope he stumped by your distractions. Your garden looks fantastic. We don't have much. Our tomatoes are not doing well in the pots.
    Tabatha, thanks for showing us around. That lettuce looks terrific. Yummy. Hope you are able to stay cool.

  16. OH MY goodness your garden is coming along nicely. I'm ready for a gold old 'mater sandwich.

    Bears oh my!! Looks like you might have outsmarted him this year. Thankfully the wildest things we see in our yard are the dreaded squirrels, darling jack rabbits, who are plentiful this year, and cute as pie chipmunks.

  17. We want to come and nibble out of your garden! Mom and Dad are trying to grow some herbs and squashes, tomatoes,radishes,and beans this year ---
    :::hehehehe:::
    If they had to live off what they planted I think they will starve.
    But the flowers Mom is playing with look nice.
