Woody here today. Mom went out to feed the whitesters in the cat house this morning and what do you think she saw? A big white chicken in the back yard hanging around the bird feeders! I say yes - a big bird for me!
When Mom tried to talk to him (?) he/she ran away into the woods but not before he got the interest of the whitesters. Who knows who he belongs too? Anybody know much about chickens? Why would he be in our yard and eating the bird seed? The neighbors across the street have chickens but smaller ones and all black.
Come to think of it Mom has noticed the platter she puts bird seed in by the raised garden bed has been on the ground and turned over for a few days this week. Wonder how long the chicken has been visiting? We will try to find his home but in the meantime - this is fun chicken TV!
It's a cute chicken. I hope his owners if found, aren't planning on eating it.

A long time ago, I actually really wanted to get a chicken for a pet. An outside pet obviously, MOL. But this one is lost and hungry, so I hope the owners can be found. Can't say I've ever seen a "Lost Chicken" ad in the paper, but there's always a first for everything.
ReplyDeleteWow,nyou sure got an exciting new channel!!!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun a live chicken to watch but mum says she hope she stays safe out there.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I dread the thought that the poor thing is exposing himself to an attack? I'm glad the Wildcats are not as ferocious as the ones I have when it comes to intruders ;-(
ReplyDeleteHave a safe, fun and meaningful 2012!
Meow kiss ;-)
The Grandpa raised chickens for awhile, he decided they were too much trouble. Mommy thinks it is a rooster visiting you (a guy) but isn't sure.
ReplyDeleteOh chicken's peck hard so don't plan on getting close to it.
Chicken TV! What a great channel, and it isn't pay-per-view!
ReplyDeleteI hope the chicken/rooster (whichever) finds its way home.
In the meantime, Happy New Year to all.
