Sweetpea watching for introoders.... |
With all the sadness on CB this past week or more, it really makes Mom appreciate the time she has with us cats all the more. We try to keep Mom and Pop amused with our silliness, loved and comforted with our companionship and they in turn take extra special care of each and every one of us. No effort is too much in our care cuz Mom tells us we bring joy into her life every single day!
Two Spot being his silly self.... |
A poem about cats that says it all... The Magician by Arlene Gay Levine
Then my best friend
on all the Earth
sits upon my lap
not to be comforted
but to soothe.
Wizard of the heart,
my cat,
when the world fails
or the day weighs,
with a wave of the tail
or soulful glance
makes the Universe
shine once more.
Darby looking cute and oh so cuddly... |
Hug your dog or cat today...their time with us is so precious and short. We are joining Camera Critters and Photo Hunt - Joy today! Do join too. Happy Weekend.
Beautiful Minnie is our Peacekeeper. |
your photos are beautiful and the sentiment is ohhhh soooo true! When Cody became ill this week so suddenly, it terrified me...I cherished our cuddle times all the more.
ReplyDeleteI am beyond grateful that he seems to be ok now...anything can happen in the blink of an eye!
You said it so right. With our recent news here, we are enjoying every minute with our cats. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteI used to think I was a dog person but a wonderful cat called Freya changed me...
ReplyDeleteI actually contemplated a post about the joy of a couple of special cats -- namely, Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel -- before opting for the focus I eventually went with... ;b
Thhanks for the great words. It has been a week. And me loves the poem.

Aw man, why did you have to add the part about hugging your cat today? I really hate being hugged!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful and thoughtful post. Purrfekt fur the holly-daze or anyday. xoxo

That is so true. I tell my cats every day how glad I am that they are here. I am so grateful for all of them. Hope you have a great week end. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYes, The Horde is a lot of work...and then they go and do something silly and make me laugh. Feline companions are indeed a JOY.
ReplyDeleteGreat wisdom in your post today. It is important to appreciate each other every day.

great pictures, message and poem. it is so true....we are piled up on the chair around mom this morning as she types.
ReplyDeleteYes ... joy, joy, joy.
ReplyDeleteNice take for the theme. Visiting from PH!
ReplyDeleteCats are such complex creatures, they can be loveable one minute and a devil the next - but I could never ever live without them and their cuddles and whiskery kisses.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy's Mum xx
Me and mom loved that poem !
ReplyDeleteI have already got a lot of hugs today and dad too :)
There is nothing sweeter than a furry friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the new Saturday PhotoHunt site.
See you next saturdy!

Wow, you have a lot of them, and they are all so beautiful. Neutering is not usually practiced here in our country, and also expensive so we end up having lots of them. They are so adorable especially when still young. I also posted cats today, and only just 2 of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely cute and furry friends you have. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and oh-so-true sentiment. Time with our pets is time very well spent and definitely worth any kind of trouble they may cause.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme. Have a fabulous week.

I love my pets. We have one dog and 2 cats (fish too, can't forget about them).
ReplyDeleteI am so glad for them, because sometimes you need the touch from a animal more than a human. I know that sounds a little weird, but for me it's true.
Such a wonderful post, it made my heart smile!
ReplyDeleteA really sweet post and a lovely poem. Beautiful kitties!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cats and a lovely poem!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful poem. All of the kitties are adorable.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a tough week. That is a good poem.
ReplyDeleteYou made me, the mom, smile and yes, appreciate your babies when and while you have them and appreciate them because if you love them....they absolutely DO love you and that love is beyond a price.

Cats truly are a joy. Great sentiment and poem.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have beautiful cats :)
ReplyDeleteYes we had sad news this week too but the love and comfort of our furries help us move on and be meaningful and helpful instead of fretful.
ReplyDeleteI hug and take delight with my dogs like you do with your cats. Oh bless animal lovers like us!
Such a sweet post! I try to hug Banjo but he gets mad at me. He's not too cuddly. Unless I have yogurt in my hands! :)
