Chica here for Tortie Thursday. It seems that Punxatawney Phil came out of his lair and saw his shadow this morning so as the legend goes we will have six more weeks of winter. Well, I don't know about you but we have not had winter yet...so 6 more weeks of no winter sounds good to me!
This is a scene from last year on this day! We had record snow, cold and lots of winter.
This is this year - we have snowdrops, phlox and daffodils coming up all over the yard and no snow in sight! I'll take this year thank you, more please!
Happy Groundhog Day! What's in your yard?
There's no flowers or cats in our gerden - it's too darn cold!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

I have lots of moss and sticks in my yard. I've had it with Winter. I want Spring.

We have a very few daffodils trying to poke up. But that is all. We sure are enjoying our non-winter. We like the warmer temps. Looks like you have some great flowers there in your yard. Hi there Chica. Good to see you. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same thing here. I've had window whiffies beacuse it's been 60 deg. outside. I hope the next 6 weeks are like the past 6 weeks. What a farce that whole groundhog thing is!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are very pretty. We like this winter better too.
ReplyDeleteWell perhaps Phil knows something we don't?
ReplyDeleteYikes!!! We are having a very cold Siberian snap here in the UK!! LOL!! Maybe Mr Groundhog meant his shadow for us!
ReplyDeleteAwww yay for your gorgeous blooms though! Take care

We are not having much winter here either! Of course, we live in southern California, so we barely have winter anyway.
ReplyDeleteWe're with you, we've had NO winter here to speak of, so if we get 6 more weeks of what we've had we're in like flynn.

ReplyDeleteour daffodils have been up and blooming. It's been cold here but no rain for a while. we wouldn't mind more winter if it just meant we'd get some (much needed0 rain! Ourrs,

Pretty flowers! We wish we had some lovely flowers! We need rain!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful flowers! We haven't had any snow this year either. It suits me fine, but plenty of people are upset about the lack of snowpack in the mountains etc.
ReplyDeleteWe have some snowdrops coming up, too. And our grass is still kind of green!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, dear friends. :)
