Happy Monday ya'll! Darby reporting today. I've got introoder duty and am keeping an out out the window.
Introoder Alert!!!! Mom left our kitty blankie out on the railing outside to air out. A tiny chickadee found it and began to pick off the cat furs from it for her nest!
She spent a long time thoroughly digging into the blankie and pulling out all the furs! Isn't she yummy.
**ahem** cute?
Mom posted this pic on Facebook but I wanted everyone to get to see the introoder. Have you had any introoders lately at your house?
We frequently have squirrel intruders that get Binga quite riled up! The nest-building chickadee was a good one!
ReplyDeleteY'know, that chickadee is gonna have the warmest nest with all that kitty fur!!
ReplyDeleteOh my!
ReplyDeleteThat bird is going to make a house out of your furs!
My Sweepy saw a frog last night outside our gate and he kept barking until the froggy left! Possibly lost his hearing ;-)
I'm happy to welcome that intruder into the house...
ReplyDeleteOoo maybe we'll get a tasty introoder...!
ReplyDeleteBirdie needs it for her babies. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww sweet Darby!! You have the cutest introoder ever! How adorable!! And what great pics! Yay! Take care

That picture is so cute. We love Chickadees at this house - they are such cute, lively little birdies and fun to watch. M used to have one that would land on her hand and grab a few seeds if she held her hand just right. Thanks for sharing that great picture.
ReplyDeleteWe had an intruder the other day but Hannah rolled everywhere he/she had been to get rid of their stink!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
She looks very tasty!
ReplyDeleteOur neighbours have a squirrel family living in their back space...no need to tell you how much fun that is for us! :-)
Have a great week!
I'm not sure who is watching who!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to share your fur with the baby chickadees! We don't have as many birds since the maintenance guy pruned our Rose of Sharon by the patio door :(

I bet that cat fur will make a luxurious nest!! The only introoder we have here is my brother Dakota MOL
ReplyDeletehow cool! what great pictures! our mom used to put out Wriggley's furs for the birds to have for their nests but none took any, mol! she should have use our furs ;)
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
Guess that goes to show that even birds like to have a soft and warm bed.
ReplyDeleteThat little bird is very grateful for cat fur to line her nest. She looks very similar to our Blue Tits except the colouring is slightly different.
