Tap Tap Thursday with Chica


Hope you are all rested up after my birthday party last weekend!  I certainly am.  Thank you very much for making it such a special day for me. 

If you remember I told you about the tap tap tap technique I use to get my beans attention if I want something.  Well Mom finally figured out how to get some of our new photos on the borrowed laptop we are using so here they are. --  This is me begging for some meat off Pop's  plate a few weeks back. 



Here comes the tap, tap, tap...I keep doing it until I get results.  Sometimes it can take a while.



Don't give up.  It can take lots of practise to get it just right.  Did you get that last pic Mom?  I think it was the best tap so far! 

What trick do you use to get what you want from your humans? Ya'll have a super weekend!!

    I too, employ the tap-tap method. It has worked wonders fur me. But you are correct, it does take practice!

    I am always jumping on the desk and poking my human when I want something. If she tries to ignore me, I just keep doing it, and wandering all over the desk and talking to her. I am not ignorable!

    Good girl Chica, that is one way to get attention. Mahoney does the same thing to our Person when she wants attention. Glad to see you figured out the computer and got some new pictures on. Hope you have a great day.

    I've been doing the tap tap tap trick for a long time. TW didn't know other cats do it too. While she's on the computer, I tap her butt through the slats of the chair.

    Lucy stands in between Mum and the computer screen - that works very well for her. Hannah falls on the floor as if she had fainted at Mum's feet - Mum is worried she'll tread on her so gets her some food straight away. We hadn't thought of a tap tap method although if ignored purrhaps a whap whap would get quicker results.

    You're right, Chica! If you're going to train your human to respond to what you want, it takes PURRSistence. Never give up!

    Dante gives quite verbal commands when he wants something. They can sound quite gutteral and are difficult to ignore.

    My sister Boo uses the tap techinque. I meow in a specific tone and Jinx, Ping and Gracie all head butt. Jinx can get rather pushy, in fact he can knock you off your feet if he is insistent. Which he can be at times (for food).

    Sissy does a tap tap when she wants some of my food. She has her claws out so I have to dodge her!

    You are talented with the tap, tap, tap. When I want Mom to get up out of bed and feed me I walk across her body, tap her cheek and, if necessary, nibble on her toes.

    I use the tap technique when I want to wake my beans :)
    I can do tricks when my mom is rattling the treatjar.
    I can wave paw , give me 5 and give mom a kiss.
