After such a horrendous week in this nation with the two major tornadoes that hit Shawnee and Moor OK, it does make one pause and be so very grateful for all that we have.
We have been posting and reposting links on Facebook and Twitter to help people find loved ones and pets. It is the least we can do to help the tornado victims. If anyone would like to help you can also donate
World Vets to help the animals in OK
Text STORM to 80888 for The Salvation Army USA.
Text REDCROSS to 90999 $10 donations, or
FOOD to 32333 for Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
$10 will go a long way.
We are thankful for our health, our homes and that we live in a place that is pretty safe, all things considered.. We are thankful that we have each other and have y'all as friends!

ReplyDeleteSuch a tragedy in Oklahoma for so many families.
I hope many pets and owners will be reunited soon.
Yup, we sure are thankful for all that we have. And are so sad about all the people that lost their homes and their pets out in Oaklahoma. But Facebook has been terrific in putting up pictures of the animals so the owners can find them.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Great post. We have a lot to be thankful for and need to share with those who lost everything. It was such a horrible thing to happen. Thank you for posting links.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of your cats.
ReplyDeleteTabitha looks so much like my Ashton and I grew up with an all white cat named To ge dow. To tell you the truth, I don't know how they spelled her name.
We are truly thankful this Thursday, also. Have a great day, kittehz!
ReplyDeleteWe are so thankful for what we have too and are blessed to be part of a wonderful community determine to help.
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to forget to be grateful, like the times when my human gets mad at me for putting my tail in her lunch. But it's really important to be thankful, not only for what we have, but for the ability to help others who are in need.
ReplyDeleteWe are purring for all those affected by the those tornadoes...'specially the animals who are now lost. We purr that they are reunited with their humans.
ReplyDeleteMe send hugs to all the people and critters. {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteSo many animals lose their families during tragedies like Oklahoma, so we are purring for them as well as the people affected.
ReplyDeleteWe, too, are so thankful for all the blessings we have, including being a part of this amazing community that is doing all they can to help those in need.

ReplyDeleteA rather beaten up white (possibly deaf) cat was brought into Upper Hutt Animal Rescue yesterday (we volunteer Fridays there) - we are thankful he is safe now but weep at his condition. We are thankful for our friends but want more to go right for those in trouble.
ReplyDeleteYes it was a difficult time for many. Dad donated and we told him we would give our treat allowance for the month to help out. He was really proud. We are proud of your post that helps too!
